First Entry

I will start with an audio note I took in Istanbul. Audio notes won't be the rule, so I thought something special would be nice as a first entry into my Essential Notbook in the virtual world.

This was a crow sitting on the fence at the fenerbahce marina on the asian side of Istanbul.

I never heard them make that funny noises.

Guess it's looking for a partner...

What is the Essential Notebook about?

Hi everyone!

A friend of mine was watching me recently while I was scribbling something in one of my numerous notebooks and he asked me: Hey, do you blog your notes?

I was suprised by this question. Of course not! They are private!

Well, he said, I think that's interesting for people to know. What goes on in a writer's head?

I thought about that for some weeks and looked through my notes and quotes.

Yes, there is a lot of private stuff, unfinished songs and poems I wouldn't wanna publish yet or ever.

But then there are a lot of sayings, punchlines, quotes, ideas, short poems and stories etc., not only by me but also by other people, I am constantly writing down, cricling, coloring and recording.

So I thought: Yes! Maybe these are actually worth sharing. This might actually be something that contributes to the world wide web's brain, rather than just junking it.

We we will see.

I will start posting what I have collected so far soon. That might already keep us busy for a while.

I will no longer maintain my old blog. It really isn't interesting to blog where I took a d***. That's what facebook is for :-)

I will share what the places I go to, the people I meet and the things I see make me scribble.

This is the Essential Notebook.
